Overview

Imah Nini Coffee & Kitchen, nestled in the heart of Bogor Tengah on Jl. Sancang No.7, offers a charming escape that feels like stepping back into a fond childhood memory of grandma’s home. This café’s inviting ambiance is enhanced by its warm, woody interiors and subtle Javanese artistic touches, creating an atmosphere both cozy and deeply nostalgic. Spread across two floors, with a rooftop option, the space thoughtfully caters to different preferences—offering a non-smoking area downstairs and a spacious smoking section upstairs where mismatched, comfortable chairs create perfect nooks for conversation or quiet reflection.

The menu is a harmonious blend of classic Indonesian favorites and coffee culture delights. Signature dishes like the rich and fragrant Nasi Kuning and the smoky IGA Bakar stand alongside wonderfully brewed coffees such as Es Kopi Kenalan, Kopi Susu Kenalan, and a smooth Café Latte. For those seeking a sweeter touch, the Cheese Cake Slice and Chocolate Hazelnut offer satisfying indulgence. The café also respects the morning crowd with a dedicated breakfast menu, ensuring a fresh start to the day. Snacks like Singkong Goreng and Risoles make perfect companions to the expertly crafted Long Black Coffee or the more playful Hot Acquaintance Coffee.

Imah Nini attracts a diverse audience—from solo guests seeking a quiet moment away from city noise, to couples enjoying intimate, lingering conversations. The vintage charm extends beyond décor, with features like an old piano on the second floor that invites spontaneous, heartfelt music sessions. Many patrons have found the café an ideal retreat for both relaxation and connection, valuing not just the food and drink but the soft glow of nostalgia and comfort. While parking is somewhat limited, with a handful of slots available, the experience inside more than compensates for the wait.

The overall culinary experience evokes warmth and simplicity. Though some dishes like the nasi goreng may benefit from a touch more refinement, the consistent quality in both food and coffee ensures Imah Nini remains a beloved spot. It truly is more than a café—it’s a place where stories unfold, memories are made, and everyday moments gain a vintage hue. Whether you’re craving a solid meal with rich local flavors or a thoughtfully brewed cup of coffee in a setting that feels like home, Imah Nini Coffee & Kitchen invites you to settle in and savor the feeling.

I believe this is the fanciest Imah Nini cafe and the most complete menu for food & beverage among all branches. Just like the other branches, the cafe consistently represents grandma’s house from childhood memories. I even sat on the cozy-wooden- rocking chair! It has lovely retro interior with smoking (2nd floor) and non-smoking area (1st floor) options. My favorites are Japanese brew and Kopi Kenalan. There are up to 3 parking slot available.

I love the ambiance; the interior features classic furniture. There’s a lot to see inside, and every corner is a photo spot. There’s also a piano that you can play, and the smoking area is spacious. It’s a comfortable area away from the noise of Bogor’s streets. The parking space isn’t too big, and the food is so-so and could be improved.

Imah Nini used to be my favorite me time hideout. Then I took my girlfriend there, and just like that it became our spot. The place really lives up to its name, quaint, warm, and vintage in all the best ways. Like grandma’s house, if grandma had a better eye for interior design and served caffe lattes. We always head to the second floor. It’s cozier up there, with mismatched comfy chairs that somehow make perfect sense together. We’ve spent hours just talking, laughing, sharing secrets we never thought we’d tell anyone, or me quietly stealing glances at her while pretending to listen (I swear I was listening). There’s an old piano beside our usual table. Turns out we both learned piano as kids but never stuck with it. A sweet little coincidence that feels like fate. The food? The carbonara was decent, the coffee did the job, but the nasi goreng could use a bit more topping. We also split a snack platter, enough for two but her stories were way more filling. Eventually, the staff started packing up and we took the hint. We lingered outside a little longer, not because we had anywhere else to be, but because neither of us really wanted to say goodnight just yet. We’ll be back. And maybe next time, we’ll finally play that piano.

The place is filled with woody interior and art, you can feel the Javanese ethnicity touch here and there. It really felt comfy and homie vibes. The dining area is big since they have two floors for indoor and semi outdoor dine in areas and also outdoor at rooftop although the parking area is only fit up to 5 - 6 cars. Most of the dishes are Nusantara, they have separate morning menu for breakfast.

Vintage furniture and a combination of local and international dishes, those are most obvious remarks about this family resto/Cafe. The Dori fillet from their fish and chips was not evenly cooked. Some parts were still a bit cold. The cheese cake was nice, and the mocktail was excellent. Well, it's not the kind of mocktail you find in fancy restaurants, but a blend of espresso with fruit slices and syrup. Electricity sockets were available near some seating areas but not all. Smoking area on the second floor was actually larger than the air-conditioned first floor. The mushala was clean, and the toilet were too although nothing fancy.

Cozy and full of character—like stepping into an old Indonesian family home. Imah Nini is decorated with antiques, and the seating varies from sofas to dining tables, giving it a warm, lived-in feel. They open from early morning, so it’s a great spot for breakfast too. We had snacks and the cakalang porridge—tasty and comforting. Coffee was decent. Perfect place to hang out or catch up with friends. Would recommend!
